LEARN ABOUT SOME OF OUR SUCCESS STORIES







One of our objectives is to help to solving the problem that brought the child to our Home. We are always training them to facilitate their start of a new life. We try to keep in touch with those who leave the Children’s Home. They can always find whith us the support they need.


Here we mention some testimonies of teenagers that have already leave the House. They are now independent and a positive force in society.

PEDRO JUAREZ GARCIA.

Pedro is one the first children that we received; He was 10 years old. At that time he was supported by his older sister, a 14 years old girl that worked as a housekeeper. They came from an indigena enviroment in extreme poverty in Veracruz, Veracruz. As many homeless children, they arrived to our Children's Home, where they received school, food, wellness, etc.

When he was 16 years old, he started working in a clothes store name “Papillón”. where he has been working for 9 uninterrupted years. As a consequence of his positive development, he has been promoted. With its wages he was paying a land and we gave him economical assistance and support to help him to build his own hose. Now, he lives in it and he es trying to help his brothers in order to become successful too.

Pedro was married some years ago, and he was able to form his own family. Sometimes, he come with us to ask for our opinion in important decisions. Pedro has demostrated consistency and stability, which are some of the values the he leaned inside the Children's Home. He is a good example of the good work that we have done during some years.


JORGE NAPOLEÓN ANTÚNEZ:

Jorge arrived to our home in 1991, when he was 12 years old. The municipal police brought him asking us to keep him for 3 days. Quickly he got adapted and stayed for 5 years approximately.

As many other children, he was not studying and he did not know anything about wealth and hygiene. In general, children come with many emotional problems because of what they suffered during their childhood.

He was inscribed in a primary school and he was able to take many different classes, in order to start a work life.

Now, he speaks in a very open way about his experience: "I lived many horrible experiences and family abuses. My mom and my step father were alcoholics. When I arrived to the Children's Home I felt saved. They gave me the love that I was needed. I had a very good childhood in the house. They provided me education that I needed in order to become a successful person. Whenever I have my sons and daughters I will give them the love that I did receive from my parents." Jorge was able to grow as a person thanks to the support that we provided him.

Jorge is now living in an assistant house. He is studying high school and working at the same time. He has work in sales and designed columns in the "Ocho Columnas" newspaper. Currently, he is working in an important restaurant. "My goal is to be more and more successful" explains Jorge


ALEJANDRO AGUIRRE ADAME

One of the people that founded the Institution was aware that in a small mechanic shop, two little boys of 4 and 6 years old were living. They were sons of the person that took care of the shop. There did not had a mother, and they spend all day in that horrible place.

Alejandro is the oldest and he arrived to the House in order to be able to go to school. He received adequate alimentation, and he started having a real house. He became a happy and a very social boy.

He studied the primary, and he got good grades. During his childhood he constantly had epileptic attaks. Doctors said there was no cure, but it was able to control them because the problem was detected on time.

When he was 13 years old, his father found a better job and a better house, and we decided to send him back with his father. Nowdays, he is working in a small shop and he explain us that the years he spent in the Institution helped him to have a happy childhood.


ANTONIO JUAREZ GARCIA.

Antonio is Pedro’s brother (the first boy of this list), and he was 8 years old when he came to the Children’s Home. He is impulsive and has a strong character. In order to help him, during his education, the Director delegated him some special responsabilities such as the distribution of food, as a therapy of reconciliation with other children.

He was hardly supported to be part of different courses, where he was able to develop more practical activitiesand technical skills because his development was not good in academic clases, no matter that, he stayed in school. Nowdays, he is working in a big factory named BOPAGUSA. He is a boy with a big heart and he is generous in every aspect.

Following his brother’s steps, he paid little by little a land to build his own house. The Arq. Raúl Ruelas gave him the planes to build his house,as part of the support that we continue giving him. Toño is a very healthy boy, and we are sure that he will be successful.

We believe that the final results obtained with the education of these boys are really helpful for them. By one side, they don't live in streets anymore; and by the other, we help them to have a happy life.


GUILLERMO AGUIRRE ADAME

Memo and his brother Alejandro arrived to the Children’s Home when they were 4 and 6 years old. They spend the day working in a Mechanic shop, without a mother or any aducation they arrived to our house.

During his first years of school Memo showed a big interest in learning and he always got the best grades. He was very active and happy, and many times his teachers were surprised because of his good behavior.

He used to practice sports, so he got a sport scholarship in the Cuauhtémoc University to study Bachelor in Marketing. In this picture he appears on the day of his graduation on May, 2006.

Nowadays, Memo is able to combine his half part work and his master studies. He is an excellent example to follow for everyone in the Children’s Home. Also, with his life we can demonstrate that education is the best thing that children can receive from us.


EDUARDO VILLALOBOS PEREZ

María de Jesús, (Eduardo’s mom) was alone and without any source to give him food. She was alcoholic, and desesperate she ask for help in the "Instituto Cabañas" where she was send directly to our House. Eduardo was 9 years old.

He was in the House for 3 years, and finished his primary. During that time his mother went to AA therapies to solve her adiction. She was able to find a job in a big factory.

When he was 12 years old, the “Fundación por los niños del planeta A.C.” invited 10 children to Asia. Eduardo was one the selected boys. For any of these boys a prize like this is very significant.

“I am very thankful with the Institution, because with its help I have been surpassing some of my problems. Since I arrived here, I understood that there is always an opportunity”.

Nowadays, Eduardo is studying high school in an Institution with international recognition. This is an extra opportunity that we are trying to give our boys.


RUBEN ACEVEDO BARRERA

“Ruben did not want to study” Doña Elena, his mother, said. Because she lives in extreme poverty and his husband abandoned them. Doña Elena asked the DIF for support. A social worker contact her with our Institution.

Ruben arrived to the House when he was 10 years old, and he received psychological support. Little by little he was able to change his personality in a very positive way.

The Institution also supported his mother with some therapies and trainings for technical skills.

When he finish primary, he was moved to an Institution for teenagers in San Juan Cosala. Nowadays he is a very responsible person, and he is interesting in studying. These two things will be very helpful for him to be successful in his life.


ALEJANDRO HERNÁNDEZ BUSTOS

“When my daughter was sick in the hospital Alejandro was to little and nobody could help me takingcare of him. A social worker from the DIF Zapopan told me to come to Los Pinos”. María Isabel Hernandez, Alejandro’s mother, explain to us.

When Alejandro was 4 years old, he used to be alone every morning in a very poor house, because his mother had to go to the hospital with his daughter.

“I felt a big support because I was able to work and took care of my daughter at the same time that Alejandro was studying, eating, etc, in the Institution”.

When Alejandro was 9 years old, his parents were trying to be together again. We thought that there is not a better place for the child that his own home. so he came back with his family.

During the 5 years that Alejandro was in the Children’s Home, he received the educative opportunity that every child should have. We also helped his mother with psychological orientation. These kinds of actions that we are able to do are because of the help that you give us.
